Is it possible to get from Choquequirao to Machu Picchu?

Part of the Inca Trail has as its route the pass from Choquequirao to Machu Picchu.

This tour is challenging and fascinating at the same time, because first you will have to leave Cusco or Abancay until you reach Cachora. Then to the Capuliyoc viewpoint where you will start an extensive hike to Choquequequirao and then head to the Wonders of Machu Picchu.

Is there a cable car in Choquequirao?

The construction of the cable car remains in projects that have not yet been executed, therefore, the visit to Choquequirao continues to proceed by hiking. It usually lasts 4 full days with a magnificent journey through the Andean valley.

Is it advisable to do the tour without a guide?

It is not recommended because the route is complicated, so the best option to have a more comfortable tour is through a travel agency.

The clothes you will wear will also depend on the season in which you do the tour, if it is in the rainy season it will be essential to have waterproof clothing during the day and warm clothes at night.
