The Chacapi Hot Springs are a natural attraction located in the district of Yanque, in the Colca Valley, province of Caylloma, Arequipa.
The Chacapi Hot Springs are approximately 7 kilometers (4.3 miles) from Chivay, the capital of the Caylloma province, and about 10 minutes from the center of Yanque. Access from Arequipa is possible by road, with an estimated travel time of about 5 hours. Once in Yanque, you can reach the hot springs on foot or by local transport.
The waters of Chacapi are rich in minerals such as calcium, zinc, and iron, giving them therapeutic properties. They are recommended for relieving muscle pain, arthritis, rheumatism, and skin problems. The temperature of the pools ranges between 91°F and 113°F (33 °C–45 °C), offering a revitalizing experience.
Opening hours: from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., every day. The entrance fee is 15 soles per person (applicable to both Peruvians and foreigners).
Yanque is located at an altitude of 11,220 feet (3,420 meters) above sea level, giving it a cool semitropical climate. Temperatures range between 34°F and 66°F (1 °C–19 °C) and rarely exceed 70°F (21 °C). It is recommended to bring warm clothing and sun protection.
Thermal Pools: The complex has six hot pools, with temperatures ranging between 95°F and 113°F (35°C–45°C). Some pools are built with rustic stone, while others offer moderate temperatures, ideal for children and those sensitive to heat.
Mineral Composition of the Water: The Chacapi Hot Springs contain minerals such as sulfur, calcium, magnesium, iron, sodium, and potassium, which provide therapeutic benefits including relief of muscle pain, arthritis, and rheumatism, improved blood circulation, and overall relaxation.

Hours: Open daily from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. It is recommended to visit between Monday and Thursday to avoid crowds.
