Just 18 km from Puno, you'll find Chucuito, also known as "the city of royal boxes." This town stands out for its beaches located over 3,870 meters above sea level and its ancient rock paintings along the way. This district is an excellent choice for enjoying history.
In the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel to travel to Chucuito. We will begin by visiting the Inca Uyo, a fertility temple, where our guide will explain the astronomical observatory, the stone windows, and the sacrificial stone.
Next, we will explore the main square, which still preserves its colonial architecture, and visit the Dominican churches. We will also stop at viewpoints overlooking Lake Titicaca.
Finally, we will visit Amaru Muru, a square stone portal measuring 7 meters on each side, carved into rock. Afterward, we will return to Puno.
