On your journey to the southwest of Puno, you'll visit the enigmatic "chullpas," tombs located atop a hill. These square and circular structures are adorned with carvings of felines and snakes. Additionally, you'll discover rock paintings dating back to between 8,000 B.C. and 2,000 B.C., whose origins remain a mystery, offering a unique immersion into history.
At 8:00 a.m., we will pick you up from your hotel in the city center to travel to the Cutimbo archaeological site, located about 45 minutes away. The guide will choose the best route to start the tour.
At the site, we will see the Chullpas, Inca tombs in circular, rectangular, and square shapes, where important figures were buried. The tour will take us to the top of the hill, where you can enjoy panoramic views before returning to Puno.
