Cusco is an ancient city, and in this 6-day tour, you will get to know the most important highlights while experiencing the worldview of the inhabitants of different communities.
In the morning, you will arrive in Cusco and be guided to your hotel by our staff. The morning will be free for you to relax.
In the afternoon, we will start with a visit to the Cusco Cathedral, famous for its decoration.
Then, we will explore Qorikancha, the Temple of the Sun, and the archaeological sites of Tambomachay, Puca Pucara, Q’enqo, and Sacsayhuaman, known for its massive stones perfectly fitted together. Afterward, we will return to Cusco.
Cusco (3330 m) - Sacsayhuaman (3700 m)
In this Sacred Valley excursion, we will begin by visiting the Inca citadel of Pisac, famous for its terraces and observatories, followed by exploring the local Pisac market to experience the indigenous culture.
Next, we will continue towards Urubamba, where we will have lunch before visiting the Ollantaytambo fortress, highlighting the Temple of the Sun. We will end the day by taking the train to Aguas Calientes, where we will spend the night.
Cusco (3300 m) - Pisac (2950 m) - Ollantaytambo (2800 m) - Aguas Calientes (2000 m)
Today we will visit Machu Picchu, starting with a short bus ride. Upon arrival, we will explore the Inca citadel during a 2-hour guided tour, discovering its plazas, paths, and observatories.
You will have free time to relax or explore more, with the option to hike Huayna Picchu Mountain. In the afternoon, we will return to Aguas Calientes and take the train to Ollantaytambo, continuing to Cusco.
Aguas Calientes (2000 m) - Machu Picchu (2400 m) - Poroy (3350 m)
Today we will explore the other side of the Sacred Valley, starting with a view of the Urubamba mountain range and the snow-capped peaks of "La Verónica" and "Chicón." We will then visit Moray, an archaeological site known for its circular terraces, believed to have been used as agricultural greenhouses.
Next, we will head to the Maras Salt Mines, a complex of 4,500 salt ponds that are irrigated every three days with water. After exploring this site, we will return to Cusco.
Cusco (3330 m) - Maras Salt Mines (3380 m) - Moray (3500 m)
We depart early, around 4:30 am, towards Cusipata, where we will have a buffet breakfast. Along the way, we will see llamas and alpacas accompanied by herders in traditional clothing.
Upon arrival, we will witness the imposing Vinicunca Mountain, also known as Rainbow Mountain, located at 5,036 meters above sea level. Our guide will explain the geography, ecosystem, and the vibrant colors of the mountain. Afterward, we will return to Cusco.
