This 14-day trip offers an authentic experience in the Andean communities of Peru. We will visit the Colca Canyon, Lake Titicaca, Maras, the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, and more. This itinerary includes Lima, Arequipa, Cusco, and other regions, each rich in culture and history.
Lima, the Peruvian capital, is a city full of history, gastronomy, and more. Upon arrival at the airport, our team will greet you and transfer you to your hotel for some rest.
Lima (150 m)
In the morning, you will take your flight to Arequipa. In the afternoon, we will visit the Carmen Alto viewpoint, offering views of the Misti, Pichu Pichu, and Chachani volcanoes, and the Yanahuara district, famous for its sillar archways.
Then, we will explore the Santa Catalina Monastery, the Plaza de Armas, the Minor Basilica, and the Church of the Jesuit Company. Optionally, you can visit the Andean Sanctuaries Museum, where the Juanita mummy is located.
Lima (150 m) - Arequipa (2330 m)
After breakfast, we will pick you up at your hotel to travel to the Colca Canyon, one of the deepest in the world. Along the way, we will pass through Pampa Cañahuas, home to vicuñas, birds, and more. The highest point will be at the Volcano Viewpoint.
Upon reaching Chivay, located in the Caylloma province, we will transfer you to your hotel. As an optional activity, you can visit the "La Calera" hot springs for an additional cost.
Arequipa (2330 m) - Volcano Viewpoint (4950 m) - Chivay (3600 m)
We will start the day early and head to the Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint to see the condors flying over the canyon, offering us an unparalleled spectacle.
On the way back, we will pass through villages such as Yanque, Achomas, and Coporaque, each of which still preserves its traditions. We will then visit the village of Maca, where its church and stone streets will captivate you. In the afternoon, after lunch in Chivay, we will travel to Puno and transfer you to your hotel.
Chivay (3600 m) - Cruz del Cóndor (3800 m) - Volcano Viewpoint (4950 m) - Chivay - Puno (3850 m)
During the day, we will visit Lake Titicaca and its Islands, starting with the Uros Islands, famous for its floating reed islands, where the locals engage in fishing, handicrafts, and other activities that are sold in Puno.
Next, we will head to Amantaní Island, where we will explore rural homes and enjoy a typical lunch. At the end of the day, we will share a dinner with local families and participate in a folkloric dance with Andean music.
Puno (3850 m) - Uros Island (3850 m) - Amantaní Island (4150 m)
In the morning, we will have breakfast in Amantaní and then depart for Taquile Island, known for its ancestral weavers. After a boat ride, we will arrive at the port and head to the main square where a community experience awaits us.
We will enjoy a typical buffet lunch and then return to Puno by boat, thus concluding the trip.
Amantaní Island (4150 m) - Taquile Island (4050 m) - Puno (3850 m)
In the morning, we will head to the imperial city of Cusco, crossing the Altiplano. Along the way, we will stop at Pucará, known for its variety of toritos (small bulls) in different sizes and colors.
We will continue the journey, passing through the La Raya pass, where we can enjoy the landscape and observe the local wildlife. Then, we will arrive at the Raqchi archaeological site, an ancient pre-Hispanic religious center.
Next, we will continue to Andahuaylillas to visit the Church of St. Peter the Apostle, known as the Sistine Chapel of the Americas. Finally, we will arrive in Cusco and transfer you to your hotel.
Puno (3850 m) - La Raya Pass (4350 m) - Raqchi (3350 m) - Cusco (3330 m)
We will have the morning free, and in the afternoon, we will begin the city tour of Cusco, starting with a visit to the interior of the Cathedral, famous for its decoration. Then, we will explore Qoricancha, an important center of sun worship.
Next, we will head to the outskirts of the city to visit the archaeological sites of Tambomachay, Puca Pucara, Q'enqo, and Sacsayhuamán, known for its intricate walls of carved and interlocked stones. Finally, we will return to Cusco.
Cusco (3330 m) - Sacsayhuamán (3700 m) - Cusco
We will begin our visit to the Sacred Valley of the Incas in Pisac, known for its temples and astronomical observatories. Then, we will descend to the town to explore its market, where handicrafts, textiles, jewelry, and food are sold.
Afterward, we will head to the community of Patabamba, where we will meet the locals and learn about their traditions. We will spend the night in one of their homes for an authentic experience.
Cusco (3330 m) - Pisac (2900 m) - Patabamba (3800 m)
We will begin our visit to the Sacred Valley of the Incas in Pisac, known for its temples and astronomical observatories. Then, we will descend to the town to explore its market, where handicrafts, textiles, jewelry, and food are sold.
Afterward, we will head to the community of Patabamba, where we will meet the locals and learn about their traditions. We will spend the night in one of their homes for an authentic experience.
Cusco (3330 m) - Pisac (2900 m) - Patabamba (3800 m)
After breakfast, we will head to the Huchuy Qosqo archaeological complex, where we will admire its architecture and enjoy scenic views. We will then begin the hike to Piuray Lagoon, accompanied by beautiful landscapes.
We will reach the Pucajasa pass at 4,393 meters, from where we can enjoy views of the lagoon and spot various bird species. From there, we will descend to the village of Chinchero, where we will spend the night.
Huchuy Qosqo (3656 m) - Pucajasa Pass (4390 m) - Tauca (3850 m) - Chinchero (3850 m)
From Chinchero, we will continue exploring the Sacred Valley, with its deep Incan roots. We will visit Moray, an archaeological complex with circular terraces used as agricultural laboratories. Next, we will head to the Maras Salt Mines, where salt is produced in a traditional manner.
In Ollantaytambo, we will observe the architecture and the fortress on the hill. Finally, we will take the train to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Village), where we will spend the night to conclude the day.
Chinchero (3830 m) - Moray (3500 m) - Maras Salt Mines (3000 m) - Ollantaytambo (2800 m) - Aguas Calientes (2000 m)
After breakfast, we will take the bus to Machu Picchu, where we will explore the citadel and its main areas during a 2-hour guided tour, visiting the most representative zones of the site.
Then, we will have free time to continue exploring on our own or hike up to Huayna Picchu Mountain, where you can enjoy an impressive view of Machu Picchu. Afterward, we will return to Aguas Calientes and take the train back to Cusco, where we will transfer you to your hotel.
Aguas Calientes (2000 m) - Machu Picchu (2400 m) - Cusco (3300 m)
On this day, you will be transferred to the airport, where you will take your flight to Lima and later board your international flight back home.
