On this 3-day tour, you will explore the Tambopata National Reserve, located in the Peruvian Amazon, renowned for its rich biodiversity and abundant wildlife. During your visit, you can participate in land and river excursions to delve into the jungle. We have crafted an itinerary to help you fully enjoy this natural destination.
Upon arriving in Puerto Maldonado, we will head to the Puerto Capitanía to board the boat to the bungalow. Along the way, weather permitting, we may spot plants like heliconias and animals such as capybaras, caimans, and turtles.
Once we arrive, we will have lunch in the rustic dining area, and in the afternoon, we will visit Cocha Caimán Lagoon, home to black and white caimans. We’ll end the day by enjoying the sunset in the Amazon before returning to the lodge for dinner.
After breakfast, we will take a walk through the forest, where we may spot mammals such as tapirs and peccaries, as well as rodents, primates, and birds. Upon reaching Apu Victor Lake, we will enjoy panoramic views and observe wildlife from the Amazonian Lookout.
In the afternoon, we will visit Monkey Island, located on the Madre de Dios River, renowned for its diverse flora and abundance of primates. We will return to the lodge to enjoy a delicious lunch and end the day with dinner.
After a restful night, the local wildlife will begin their morning songs. Following this, we will have breakfast and start our journey back to Puerto Maldonado.
