This incredible journey will take us to a hidden treasure, an impressive fortress built on a cliff: Waqrapukara.
This complex is one of the oldest Inca temples and is located in the Andes Mountains in the Cusco region. It is built on top of one of the steepest mountains and the hiking experience will immerse you in an area where travelers do not usually visit.
This great trip will take you out of the traditional treks in Cusco, it will only take one day to visit and the hike is not very difficult.

Early in the morning, our transportation will pick us up from the hotel and drive to Waqrapukara, known for its breathtaking scenery and uncrowded sightseeing.
After approximately 2h30, we will stop for breakfast in the village of Pomacanchi and then continue to the final destination. We will be able to enjoy the landscapes and ravines for another hour until we reach the starting point of the hike.
The ascent to the fortress is approximately 2h30 and meanwhile we will be able to witness beautiful landscapes and a variety of Andean flora and fauna of the area.
Arrival to the archaeological complex and after a short rest we will have enough time to visit and learn more about this mystical and religious archaeological site, starting with its main square, terraces, towers and more.
We will enjoy our picnic lunch before descending, where our transportation will be waiting for us to return to Cusco.
