Upon arriving in Lima, we will take a connecting flight to Cusco, where a private vehicle will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel.
In the afternoon, at 1:00 PM, the transfer will pick you up from your hotel to take you to visit 6 places. We will start with the "Cathedral," then head to the "Qorikancha" temple, also known as the "Temple of the Sun." Both locations are just a few meters from the main square of Cusco; however, the 4 archaeological parks are about 20 km away. We will begin with "Sacsayhuamán," "Qenqo," "Pukapukara," and "Tambomachay," which were ceremonial and resting places for the Incas, as well as astronomical observatories.
Today we will visit one of the 7 Wonders of the World, the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu. In the morning, we will take the tourist bus to the entrance of the citadel and then begin the guided tour of its main archaeological sites, including its neighborhoods, plazas, houses, agricultural areas, passages, observatories, and terraces, along with explanations of their functionality. After the guided circuit, we will return to the town of Aguas Calientes to take the train back to Cusco. Upon arrival, we will pick you up from the terminal and transfer you to your hotel.
Very early in the morning, we will head towards the beautiful Rainbow Mountain, also known as Vinicunca.
On the way, we will stop for a buffet breakfast, then continue to the access control and start our hike, reaching an altitude of about 5020 meters. At the top, our guide will provide explanations about the geological formation, and we will have time to take the best photos with the spectacular views that nature will offer us. For the more adventurous, we will descend via a path known as the Red Valley, characterized by its reddish geological features, and finally return to the city of Cusco.
In the morning, we start the journey to the village of Mollepata, where we will have breakfast. Then we continue the trip to Soraypampa, where we will begin the hike to Humantay Lake. Along the way, we will enjoy the beautiful landscapes surrounding us until we reach Soraypampa, and after some time, we will arrive at Humantay Lake (4250 m). There, we will have enough time to appreciate the natural beauty around us, as well as the snow-capped peaks of Salkantay and Humantay. The guide will give a demonstration of the use of coca leaves and perform a small offering to the Apus (sacred mountains), and we will participate in the ceremony. Return to Cusco.
Today you will have free time to relax (check-out from the hotel at 10:00 AM). You can also take the opportunity to buy some souvenirs to take home.
Additionally, you can visit museums, plazas, streets, viewpoints, theaters, etc. At 9:00 PM, we will pick you up from the hotel lobby and take you to the bus terminal, where the sleeper bus to Puno will depart.
Our transfer will pick you up at your hotel at 7:00 AM to take you to the starting point of this tour. The floating islands of the Uros are a group of habitable artificial surfaces made of totora, an aquatic plant that grows on the surface of Lake Titicaca. On this day, we will take boats to visit 2 important floating islands in the area, where you will learn about their textile work and how they live day to day, as well as enjoy typical food from the region.
Upon arriving in Lima, we will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to your hotel located in Miraflores. Later, at 2:00 PM, we will pick you up for a city tour of the city. We will take a panoramic view of both the colonial and modern parts. In the historic center, we will take a panoramic turn around the Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, the Government Palace, and the Central Reserve Bank of Peru Museum, transporting you back in time with just one step. We will visit the Convent of San Francisco and its catacombs, one of the most important convents from the 17th century, and learn about its history. Finally, we will arrive in the districts of Miraflores and San Isidro, two of the most beautiful and exclusive neighborhoods in the capital.
