On this 2-day tour, explore Arequipa's Misti Volcano, which not only enriches the local history but also stands out for its fertile lands, a result of ancient eruptions. Enjoy breathtaking views from the summit and immerse yourself in the Sillar Route.
After breakfast at your hotel, we will pick you up to begin a hike to Misti Volcano. We will travel by 4x4 to the base of the volcano, where we will start the ascent, observing the surrounding flora.
Upon reaching 4,700 meters in altitude, we will set up camp and enjoy panoramic views of Arequipa, the White City, and nearby volcanoes. After capturing these views, we will have dinner while sharing local legends about the Misti and Chachani volcanoes.
Arequipa (2350 m) – Trek start (3300 m) – Base camp (4700 m)
Start the day with breakfast before embarking on the six-hour hike to the summit of the volcano. During the journey, you will enjoy panoramic views of Mount Chachani, Picchu Volcano, the Aguada Blanca reservoir, and the Salinas Lake.
On a clear day, from the summit, you will be able to see the Pacific Ocean and the volcano's crater. The descent will be easier, and we will return to Arequipa around 4:00 PM.
