This trip is an enchanting itinerary that takes you to the heart of the Andes, not many people choose to see and discover the real nature, and be aware of what is offered. This trip will help you understand the people, the living energy of the Andes, the veneration of the mountains, the living nature, the cosmology or the art of believing now what they felt and feel, the way the world is seen from another perspective, a place where history is happening.
In the Andean tradition there were 3 main levels denominated as the upper level HANAN PACHA, the stars and the universe; then the KAY PACHA, the world where we live and finally the UCKU PACHA, the underworld or lower world, the way nature is naturally distributed and how it is conceived by people.
Upon arrival at the Lima airport, a private driver will meet you and take you to your hotel.

Overnight in Lima.
During the morning, a shuttle will take us to the airport for a domestic flight to Arequipa.
Upon arrival, our staff will be there to meet you and transfer you to your hotel located in the heart of the city. Free time to adapt to the altitude.
Afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Arequipa.
In the morning, walking we will discover the so-called white city and its colonial center: the Plaza de Armas, the museum Santuarios Andinos and the Convent of Santa Catalina. A beautiful city with its alleys full of colorful houses.
Then we will head to the viewpoints of Yanahuara and Cayma, which offer panoramic views of the fabulous surrounding volcanoes.
We will stop for lunch at a traditional Peruvian restaurant and then return to the hotel.
Free afternoon and overnight in Arequipa.
Early in the morning, we will leave for the Colca Canyon, one of the deepest canyons in the world.
On the way, we will pass through the Chachani mountainside, and cross part of the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve, populated by wild vicuñas. The road ascends gradually until reaching its highest point: The viewpoint of the volcanoes at 4900 m or 16,076 feet. From there, the view of Ampato (6400 m // 20,997 ft), Sabancaya (5976 m // 19,606 ft) and Huallca-Huallca (6025 m // 19,767 ft) is impressive.
In this place we will perform a ceremony called Saywas, piling a group of stones and praying with Kintu (coca leaves) to the highest mountains to get energy and connect with nature.
There will be a descent to Chivay, where we will stop for lunch and will be our place to spend the night.
End of the day at leisure and overnight in Chivay.
Extra activities to do in the afternoon: (not included in the package)
After breakfast, we will leave for the Cruz del Condor, a viewpoint that offers a magnificent view of the Colca Canyon from the first rays of the sun. Here is where you can admire the flight of the condor, the largest bird in the world.
We will do a Despacho (an offering ceremony to mother earth) to attract the energy of the Hanan Pacha (The world above) offered by Kintus.
Return to Chivay for lunch. In the afternoon, we will leave for Coporaque and start a hike to Yanque (approx. 2h). Both villages are very close to Chivay and we will be able to witness that the way of life of the inhabitants has changed little since Inca times. On our way we will make a small Huchuy Despacho in honor of the volcanoes and their energy, we will also connect with the Uku Pacha (The world below).
Return and overnight in Chivay.
Early in the morning we will leave for the still active Sabancaya volcano (5975 m // 19,603 ft.), located 5 hours from Chivay.
We will stop at the Patapampa viewpoint, where we will witness the pre-eruption activity of the volcano. We will begin our mystical session with a Saywa ceremony, in order to connect with the living energy of Pachamama (Mother Earth), in this case represented by the Sabancaya.
We will continue our experience reaching the geysers, a special type of hot spring that periodically emits a column of hot water and steam into the air. There we will be able to perform a cleansing and purification ceremony.
After a picnic lunch in this fabulous place, we will return to Chivay for the night.
After breakfast, we will head back to the city of Arequipa and transfer to the airport to board a domestic flight to Lima.
