Early in Chiquisca, we wake up with a coca tea and a good breakfast to start the day's hike, as long as we apply sunscreen and mosquito repellent to protect our skin. Then, we will pass by the Rosalinas Beach (1 500 m) to cross by a hanging bridge, the great and refreshing Apurimac River, which means "The God that talks".
Later, we advance uphill through a zigzagging access to reach the hamlet of Santa Rosa (2000 m) and have a refreshing rest. In this part, it will be necessary to have a good body resistance to continue with the ascent to the hamlet of Marampata, where the house of a villager awaits us to stay and you can get a panoramic view of Choquequirao.
After lunch, we leave our belongings in the house to finally walk in the direction of the Choquequirao Archaeological Complex, whose name comes from the Quechua language which means "Cradle of gold". In this part of the tour, our guide will explain each archaeological zone visited through the most beautiful parts of the place, which shows us abundant wild and Andean vegetation, along with the set of stories that keeps this citadel that in the time of conflict served as resistance to the Spanish. During sunset, we will return to Marampata for dinner and overnight at the site.

On our penultimate day, we get up very early in Marampata because we will return to the Ciudadela Inca de Choquequirao to enjoy the sunrise and then complete the visit, we will reach the platforms of the sun llamas where the Incas show respect for these Andean animals and among other constructions that we failed to explore.
Then we return to Marampata and begin to return downhill by the same route we arrived, we pass through Santa Rosa, exact point to consume our substantial lunch and give a necessary respite, to continue downhill to the Apurimac River known on the route as the Playa Rosalinas. We will finish the day ascending to Chiquisqa, house in which we will have an exquisite dinner prepared by our cook and we can rest.
