Hidden in the Andes mountain range, we find this mountain with stunning colors, one of the most important secondary destinations in the Cusco region.

This natural attraction is located in the town of Pitumarca, which was previously visited only by local inhabitants.

Today, Vinicunca, also known as the Rainbow Mountain, has become one of the most visited places by both domestic and international travelers. It only takes one day to visit, and the hike is steep but not very long, making it accessible to almost everyone.

If you enjoy the beautiful traditional landscapes of the Andes and a bit of hiking, this excursion is for you!

ITNERARIO DEL TOUR

Early in the morning, our transport will pick us up from the hotel and drive us towards Vinicunca, also known as the Mountain of Seven Colors, renowned for its beautiful red hues.

After about 2 hours, we will stop for breakfast in the village of Cusipata - Paucarpata and continue to our final destination. We will follow the route for another hour until we reach the starting point of the hike.

The ascent to the lookout takes about 2 hours; during this time, we will see a large number of llamas and alpacas under the care of shepherds dressed in beautiful and colorful traditional outfits. We will pass through stunning ravines heading to the higher parts, surrounded by snowy mountains (Ausangate).

Upon reaching this point, our guide will explain the orography, ecosystem, and color of the mountain, while we can enjoy wonderful views, take photographs, and breathe the purest air.

The descent will be through the Red Valley, where we can see the Vinicunca mountain for the last time before starting the journey back to Cusco, with a stop for lunch.
